Stalling for time

Posted: 26/06/09

The Government’s stalling tactics continue. Every Thursday, the Leader of the House of Commons, Harriet Harman, announces government business in the House of Commons - and yesterday, another week passed with no word on when they plan to bring forward the Postal Services Bill.

Our campaign is working.

But we still need to do more - ministers are still saying that they want to press ahead with their plans to sell off our post, even if they’re stalling at the moment.

The Prime Minister has promised he will listen and learn from what people say - so we need to make sure he hears our voice.

Our campaign must not slip off the agenda - it must remain in forefront of MPs’ minds. We are asking all our supporters to send a new letter to their local MP to demand they vote against plans to privatise Royal Mail. After our email last week over a thousand people took two minutes to use our easy tool to write to their MP. Will you be next to help us?
